Chip was born and raised in Miami, Florida.
He started martial arts training in college where he took a Judo Class. He continued his training in Tae Kwon Do under Terry Noel in Kendall, Florida.
He worked for Eastern Airlines where in 1986, he met Sifu Dwight Woods when he transferred into Miami from Barbados.
Chip’s training accelerated with Sifu Dwight in the arts of Filipino Kali, Eskrima, Silat & training in French Savate, Muay Thai, and JunFan Gung Fu/Jeet Kune Do.
Chip currently holds a 3rd Level Associate Instructors Certification in Jun Fan Gung Fu/JKD & Filipino Martial Arts under Guro Dan Inosanto.
In early 2000 & 2001, he taught Armed Confrontation and Street Survival Seminars for multiple police agencies through the City of Miami Police Department.
In 2005 he moved his family to Crystal River, FL to get back to a more “small town” style of living. He currently teaches Kali, Silat and Jun Fan Gung Fu/JKD while training in Pedro Sauer Brazilian Jiu Jitsu at Agogi Combatives under Black Belt Chris Holmes.
